Eeep! The Store is Full Again!!

"So I've helped mom put in some more stuff in the Winter Holiday Section now that the Breast Cancer Section is all full.
There just one problem.  We're out of space again!!  Meow!!
We've got to take more stuff before we can put more things in.  We can only have 500 things at one time.  ::sigh::"
"This goes to Other Things in Winter Holidays which has all
of the graphics in it.  There are actually a couple of others
which should go in the card section as well.  Wheeeeeee!
If anyone has any suggestions..."

LIVESTRONG - in particular Breast Cancer

"Hello!  I'm yellow so I'm being the Offious... what?  Oh!  Official Spokescat for Livestrong Day.  Please celebrate & support Cancer Survivors & Research as well as those Health Care Providers and Patients dealing with Cancer right now.  Mom has a special section up for Breast Cancer Awareness because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Normally these are found under Medical Expressions.  That's because mom's family has a history of post-menopausal Breast Cancer.  But mom messed up trying to put them in their own section this year and so she's having to put them in by hand.  meh.  There are five more that need to go in, one says 'Teach children about breast cancer' with Parent/Kitten Cat, one says 'I'm racing for breast cancer' with Chair Cat.  The others are versions of
'support breast cancer research' like this one!."

"Now mom has to take Corwyn to some kind of singing audition.  What is that??"

Boy, Did I Fubar That One!!

I was planning to move the Breast Cancer Awareness into it's own section.  ::head:laptop::  I got it moved and then accidentally erased it.  gah!  This means that I have to put it back in bit by bit.  Ergo, I'll be working on that first.  However, they finally got the 2011 calendars up!!  blah.

Star seems to be doing better.  There aren't large bumps anymore.  OTOH I haven't seen any pus come out.  On one hand, he seems to be feeling better, he's been taking his antibiotics.  On the other hand, I'm not sure if he needs to see the vet again, especially since we can't afford it (BTW thanks again to everyone who contributed!!  Your contributions got us to within ~$1 of Star's bill!!).  He's still sleeping a lot.  If I could find a working camera I'd take some new pictures, but of course, it's gone missing!!  What a week!!  I've had one teacher for each kid get in touch with me about things they need to do to keep from getting Fs for the first six weeks.  And, once again, it's not that they haven't done the work, they just haven't turned it in.  Gah!!  I need a vacation!  At any rate, today I'll leave you with one of my favorite Breast Cancer Awareness graphics, which will probably be going up in the store some time today.

Which reminds me, I should make some of the long bumper stickers.  Oh!  Did you know that the rectangular & oval stickers are made out of the same material as the bumper stickers??  I think that is soooo cool.

Cat Crazies!!

Yesterday was Cat Crazy day.  Normally we have Cat Crazies one at a time.  You know, those Cat Crazies when your fur babies suddenly race around the house, chasing Things You Can Not See, jumping around, pouncing for no reason, doing back flips, and then stopping to lick themselves and look up at you like everything is perfectly normal.  ::snort::  In our house, yesterday was Cat Crazy Day.  This means that not one, not two, not three... but four... yes, four cats had the Cat Crazies!!!  Fortunately for us this wasn't all at one time.  Well, at least not for long.  Thank Goodness they've all been pretty well trained to watch out for Mom!!!  Having bad knees etc. a crazed cat racing under my legs could make me fall and this would Not be a Good Thing.

We're used to Mister Kitten and Star having the Cat Crazies.  This is normal around here.  After all, they're the 'babies', even if Mister Kitten is three and Star is ~eight-nine.  However,  yesterday they were joined by Thomas!!  Thomas, being the dominant cat in the pride rarely gets into the act.  But then... then... yes then!  Zaphoid Beeblebrox.  Zaphoid Beeblebrox aka Emo Kitty got the Cat Crazies.  Zaphy??  Zaphy??  Cat Crazies?!?  Has the world come to an end?  The twins really surprised us with that, especially since they are now about 12-13.  ::shakes head::

I didn't do it!!  It was my Evile Twin!!

In other news, my husband's camera is down as well.  ::sigh::  We've got rabies shots coming up as well as bills to pay.  meh.  So there's not telling when I'll have another camera to work with, even one of the cheapy ones from the grocery.  I found out this morning that the wife of a friend of ours is going into surgery to have her breast removed (stage 2 or 3 cancer).  d*mn.  I'm going through things in the house trying to "Clean Sweep/House" and put the things in my daughter's Girl Scout troop garage sale.  If my daughter can manage to get her grades up ::glares at daughter:: then she can go with the troop to Savannah this summer to visit Juliette Low's birthplace.  ::sigh::  I hope she can pull it off.  I'd like to be able to make more brochures and business cards for the shop but I just can't afford to do it right now.  Other things come first.  Food for us and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde (Iams... anything else makes them sick, this is a Bad Thing!), meds for us & rabies shots for them, etcetera etcetera etcetera  and everyone else is in the same boat.  I pray for everyone each night.  Okay, I'm getting maudlin... I'm going to put up a breast cancer graphic from the shop in honor of my friend's wife.  EDIT:  She had the surgery on Friday at Vanderbilt and is home recovering.
3x5 sticker - it's made out of the same material as the bumper stickers... ergo... ::weg::

Flu... I haz had it...

I have had the flu... or something like the flu.  Which explains where I've been.  In the bed with various cats.  Primarily StarWeaver.  He was my NurseKitty.  He spent most of the days I was sick curled up in a little ball on the bed.  And when I was feeling my worst he would either climb up into my lap; or if I couldn't tolerate that, he'd snug up at my side and purrrrrrrrrr.  Just stroking him made me feel so much better.  I know that stroking pets has been proven in studies to help people who are ill, but darn!  This went above and beyond what I've ever experienced in the 48 years that I've had cats (yes, I've had them since I was born... ::grin::).

At any rate, I'm feeling much better now and after doing two whole graphics for my day job (I lost out on some because of being ill... meh), I'm going to take a stretchy break and start putting in more Breast Cancer Awareness graphics.  ::knocks on wood::  BTW I have to say that my daughter Jennifer rocks.  My clone helped me out tremendously while I was sick.

Now, let's see....

Two sections down... because I managed to actually finish up Season's Greetings and I already had חנוכה שמח done.  ::whewsh!::  So, next I'm planning on Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Cats.  But because you can't just copy a section, it will take some time.  I have to create each new section separately and then and then and then.  I also need to see if I can't track down someone more savvy in html than I to fix some stuff on the site.  I've got a fairly wide screen and I'd really like to make it work so that it would fill the screen correctly no matter what someone's screen size is; but that's a bit over my head!!  Sorry!  No speak computer!  ::rueful grin::

Which is rather odd really, since I can only draw on the computer.  You don't even want to look at what my hand drawings look like!!  At any rate, once I get through Wednesday or get in enough cards in the More Holiday Cards! section then I'm going to put up a Breast Cancer items in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I come from a family with a history of post-menopausal breast cancer.  As I say, my great-grandmother died, my grandmother had a radical mastectomy (and lived for years thereafter in remission!), my mother had a lumpectomy.  Oh yeah, I've been getting a yearly mammogram since I weaned my son.  I already have these graphics made, it's just a matter of putting them up... ergo, I give you a preview...
