Not Cats but my other traditional Memorial Day posting

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Litter would like to take a few moments first to thank all of those who help to protect their peoples around the world.  (Just remember, hissing, scratching, biting, are all fine... but keep those thermonuclear devices out of it, we lost an entire species of rat last time.)

Da Boys would like to urge others not to forget the men and women who don service uniforms of other kinds.  Police, Fire, EMT, Rescue... You are all in our hearts.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde
joins in with others all over the United States in memorializing their
collective fallen heroes known and unknown,
as well as all of those in their own families who have given of themselves in
sweat and blood, time and tears, as well as that ultimate sacrifice.

In Memoriam

Troy Allen Etheridge USN -WWI
Joe Donald Etheridge - ETCS USN 23 years
E. Lawrence Goldsby - Army - WWI
Lawrence Alvin Goldsby - Army/Air Core - WWII - pilot P51 died in training crash

Silent Sunday...

In life there is always a test later, even if my kids don't believe me when I tell them.

Oh my! We mustn't leave Thomas out!!

Today I've had every single cat lay on me at one time or another.  When my physical therapist came by Star helped as usual and at one point laid his head on the therapist's bag (I wish I could find my camera!!).  But he did a good job and my knee made 130°.  heh heh heh  Anyway it's now time for Thomas to have his day.  Presenting Sir Thomas of Snuggle of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde:

"I am the Sentinel.  I am in charge of the Cat Guard."

"I keep an eye on everything because I'm the eldest."

"You can't tell in this picture,
but I have gorgeous blue eyes."

"I adore rolling around on the cement driveway."

"I am adorable.  I love to change my colors
even though I was born a blue point.  Everyone loves me."

"I want this bag.  Then mom could carry me around in it."

Mom!! What about MY cat ?!?!?!

Never mind that my son's cat, Mister Kitten get a.... lot of airtime!  So with no further ado... Mister Kitten!!

"I like to help mom with the mouse,
especially when I think she is too tired."

"I like sleeping on dad's bed with Zaphy
even if the bed isn't made up."

"I don't go in or out unless someone else is,
and then I streak out!!"

"I like to sleep with other cats."

"But my most favorite place to sleep is the laundry!!!."

"I think mom made this bumper snicker just for me!"

Hey Moooom! You Need to Blog MY Cat!!

Yesterday I put up a post featuring Star (naaaah, he's not my favorite kitty along with Thomas, whyever would you think that??).  After looking at this, my 16 yo daughter says, "Mom!!  Why don't you ever post about my cat?!?!"  Well, it's only fair.  (Although I did mention that she could make her own blog all about her own cat.)  So, I give you, Zaphoid Beeblebrox...

"I love these pillows.  As soon as my people get off of them I get on them."

"I am stunningly beautiful.  Everybody who sees me says so.
This is good, because they pet me.  I love being petted."

"This is me with my young mommy.  Her mommy is my mom.
They both give me treats.  I love treats!!"

"Remember, cleanliness is next to catliness!"

"I am part of the Cat Guard.  I am also a mighty hunter."

"My brother is older than me so he lords it over me.
I don't mind because I am the Mommy Cat in the Horde,
even though we are all Tims*.
I make sure that everyone stays clean."

"Hey Mom!  You could use this coaster by your bed!"

PS  I don't think any of these pictures show what a beautiful blue my eyes are!!  Hmmmm, I wonder if I can get another brushing today out of that??

*Mommy calls us Tims because we're no longer Toms,
when we had sisters they were Princesses because they were no longer Queens.

I'm a Star... No, Really!!

"I love this hat.  I hope mom never takes it off of this table."

"I keep a vigilant watch over the yard and house."

"I am a mighty hunter.  I enjoy bringing home presents for mom."

"I guard the pillows from everyone else"

"I like the new quilt because I can hide on it."

"I help mom write the blog.  No, really!
I am great with the computer and excellent with the laptop.
This is also where I stare at mom and try to get more treats.
It's how I got part of my name,
StarWalker BitCat the ComputerKitty."

"Mom made Gray Cat after me.
He's not black and he doesn't have my stars but he acts like me.
Or that's what she says!  I think she should get me this pillow."

And Where Was Emo Kitty??

When I woke up I could see neither hide nor hair of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde.  This did not last long.  Once one of them realized that I was up and about they began to descend upon me.  "Oh mom!  I was just passing through.  I don't suppose... I mean, you don't happen to have any... treats, do you??"  ::rolls eyes::

Yes, it's true... cats can become addicted to greenies.

Zaphy??  Zaphy is addicted to being waited on.

"Oh woe is me!  Just call me Emo Kitty!"

PS How many of you were able to spot Star in the new quilt pictures??  ::grin::

We've Been Thinking...

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde and I have been thinking.  Would any other bloggers be interested in having Da Boys drop by and give them one of these?

I use Adobe Illustrator to make my graphics so making these in a jpg format is not a problem.  Once I finish fixing the graphics currently up on the shop (separating the clothing from the other things) I'll be putting up new items over the summer.  This will include things like "I'm with her", Latin Mottoes, and some new cards.  So, we'd like to know, what do you think??

What's This New Thing on the Bed??

My husband and I went shopping this weekend for birthday presents for a young lady of our aquantaince who has reached the advanced age of four.  While we were out, we also stopped by the Target (or as we say at our house... Tar-jey!).  You see, our old quilt was beginning to come apart (my husband hadn't noticed) and we also needed a second pair of sheets for this bed.  We found something that we both liked (the quilt was on sale... whoot!) and proceeded back home.

"Hey dad!  What's this thing you put on the...
mmmmmmmmmm never mind."

"Let's see, soft... comfy... I like the color scheme..."

"Hmmmm, yessssssss, I think I like it."

"Good evening.  I am your host for this
evenings edition of The New Quilt"
       "This is a new quilt??"

"Very well.  I will like the new quilt.
  But you absolutely must
get new body pillow cases to go with the new sheets!!"

this pic is not in the shop, I do however, use it in my lj!

Silent Sunday...
