Ah, the Changing of the Cat Guard...

There are days when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde go in and out via their cat door.  Then there are the Other Days.  Those are the days when they have to be let in and out the front door (rarely the back door).  This is known in our house as the Changing of the Cat Guard because normally as one goes out, another comes in.

"I'm thinking about coming in."

"Is there anyone there??  Hey!!   Come let me in!!"

"Hmmm, now that the door's open I don't think
I want to come in anymore."

"Can I come out??  I'd like to come out.
I know it's only been a minute since I came in
but I really really really want to come out!!"

"In!!  In!!  Quick!!  Timmy's in the well!!"

"Well, while the door's open, I might as well go in."

"Hmmm, now I'm not sure if I want to come in or not..."

See?  Changing of the Cat Guard.  Of course, Star is too much a Ninja to let us take pictures of him going in and out of the door.  ::grin::

Me-om! What are you doing to my bed?!

Everyone who lives with cats knows how much they lurv laundry baskets, regardless of whether the clothes are clean or dirty.  Now this poses a problem either way.  If the clothes are dirty, it makes it difficult to pull out the clothes to put them in the washer.  If the clothes are clean ("mmmmmmm, Me-om!  How can we resist nice warm clothes??"), then you can't get them put up.  Depending on how long your feline companions have been in the laundry, you may have to wash the clothes all over again.  This happens a lot with my daughter.

While all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde love clean laundry as well as empty baskets, the two who love laundry baskets the most are Mister Kitten and Zaphoid Beeblebrox.  In fact, if there are any baskets where they can get to them beware!!  Mister Kitten and Zaphy will be there!!  We have to work fast to get our clothes put up.  Unfortunately we're often not able to do that.  Our solution is to throw a piece of laundry that will cover the rest of the laundry.  That way we'll only have one piece of laundry to rewash rather than the entire load.

"Hey mom!  I adore this new cat bed you got for me!"

Now because I've had soooo many feline companions over the years who enjoyed sleeping in clothes baskets it's no surprise that I ended up going a bit nuts... ummm I mean, drawing a ton... ahhhhh I mean having fun making a lot of items for the CafePress store.

There are the bumper stickers...

and then the one where you can get t-shirts, Sigg bottles, mouse pads, yada yada yada...

Mom's Zipper is Gone! But Greenies are Here!!

Mom got her 'zipper' taken out yesterday.  She had to go into town and she & dad ran two errands on the way home.  This made her very tired so she just rested and iced her knee when she got home.  We weren't able to get up on the computer.

"Come on Star, give us a turn!"

The good thing was that mom & dad went to the cat food store.  We needed some more food.  They got us the multi-cat formula which our local grocery store doesn't carry.  But the bestest thing... they brought home Greenies!!!  Three different kinds!!  Yaaaaaaaay!!!  We love Greenies!!

"Just in time!!  We're all going to starve!
There was absolutely no food left here at all!!"

So after mom's knee was feeling a bet better (we're good at this!) and we'd eaten up all the rest of the old treats (we're good at this too!!), we got to have a Greenie!!  Yay!!  Mom will start feeling better & better and when her steri-strips come off she can take a bath and get in the pool!  (okay, once the pool opens).

"This way Mister Kitten, I'm telling you, they got Greenies!!"

It's the apron, of course!!
