What a Weekend!!

This is my husband.  We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary on Thursday.  He made me steak & brought me flowers.

"We all had a nap in honor of mom & dad's anniversary.
Meanwhile mom & dad kept celebrating by cleaning house & having some cornish game hen for dinner (and didn't give us any!!"

(This will go up after the New Year for Valentines)
Mom wrote this for Dad.

Marry a Man Just Like Your Daddy
Lyrics & music copyright February 9, 2008 Kathryn Brown

You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
Someone who’ll love you so well
You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
When you find someone with which to dwell

Sometimes your clock starts tickin’
And you’re scared ‘cus you’re all alone
But be careful where you’re lookin’
‘Cus you might get a man who’ll roam

You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
The man you kept you safe and sound
You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
If you would be forever bound

Oh you can look on line and the bar scene
You can look in the clubs and such
You can try a new church, but wherever you search
Find a man who’ll love you a bunch

You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
That man who carried you around
You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
Who turned your frowns all upside down

Some men are strong and some are silent
Some men make you think they’re the best
But look for one just like your daddy
‘Cus he’ll be all above the rest

You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
Someone who’ll always treat you well
You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
When you hear that wedding bell

You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
The man crying here right now
You gotta marry a man just like your daddy
When you make your wedding vow

  1. Congratulations and belated happy anniversary to your mom and dad!

Unfortunately, the mom's problem was that she did marry someone like her father. Not a good thing, since he wasn't a good father or husband. LOL. We're all very glad for your mom that that wasn't the case with her dad and hubby! :-)

  3. Thanks!!

PS I married someone like my dad (mom's 2nd husband) as opposed to someone like my father (my 1st two husbands) ::grin::

Oh and there is music to that, just couldn't figure out how to attach it!
