Where Have You Boys Been All Day?!

Monday the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde were not often to be seen.  Now part of this may have been due to the pre-teen in the house (Little Jen is 11, almost 12) who is not normally here.  Part of this might have been due to the kids' honorary cousins dropping by so that their dad could go pick up a few prescriptions for me (Abby just turned 4 and her brother Max is 8).  Part of it may have just been due to the weather.  But the gist is that I wasn't even mobbed in the morning for treats!!!  Wait!  I've got it!!  It was the three children staying up all night Sunday night!!  I'm typing this Monday night to go up Tuesday morning early Just In Case.  Oh!  And we managed to get the pool cover off with the three kids & two adults & Star supervising.  Whoot!! (much easier to exercise the new knees in the pool... and Da Boys will be supervising that as well!!)

"Ummm, mom?  Can I stay out tonight??"

"I love this star blanket... never get rid of it mom!!"

"::sigh::  It's true.  I am Emo Kitty."

"Fear not.  For I am the Ninja Kitty.
And all of your files are mine.  muahahahahaha!"

"Well, someone has to do it!!"

  1. Sounds like your pool works well for you. Love the pics! Esp. sleepy head on the star blanket.

  2. Oh we think that all the excitment with the visitors probably helped to keep them away somewhat! And that is great that the pool is open and you will be able to use it to exercise in - it will be much better on the new knees - strengthen them with less wear and tear!

  5. The pool is quite wonderful, both for relaxing and exercising my knees. I'm crossing paws that I'll actually be able to swim again! I haven't been able to do that for years because of the osteoarthritis in my knees.

AttieCattie? If you're ever here, np! ::grin::
Jacqueline? It looks messier but there are parts that look more organized. heh Da Boys appreciate the compliment!!!

  6. OOH, a pool! I just spent two hours outside in the 100+ heat at work...I NEED a pool! Oh well. I guess a shower will have to do. Enjoy swimming again, I hope that knee is working well. My Hubby will be having a repacement down the road...his knee that is!

  7. OW!! I'm a Leo who loves the heat but even that is a wee bit much! Dr. Shinar at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville did both of mine as well as both of the hips of a friend of ours. Definitely worth the drive!! He's the head of the replacement department and my scars are better than any I've ever had (and this right leg replacement is my ninth and last surgery).

As someone who has had that many surgeries, my advice is to take enough pain meds to not feel pain (if you can ::sigh::) and to be careful to exercise enough to gain but not to overdo. ::rueful smile:: Also, as much muscle tone as you can get beforehand helps too. Which reminds me... time for pain meds!! ::grin::

Oh, and the answer to your title question is, "Out."

  9. ::giggle:: I really shouldn't laugh, but when we first moved here my husband told my unsuspecting daughter that she should throw her cat Zaphoid into the water. Mind you, it took some coaxing. But she did. You can imagine the reaction, given that Zaphoid is not one of the water cats. ::shuts eyes:: Jennifer didn't trust him for a looooong time!

LOL! YES!! That was definitely the answer!!
