Finally Friday...

"OMB!  I am so tired!!  Mom and Jennifer took me outside
for a few minutes with my harness on and I went back
in really really quick!  There was a HUGE woofie who
YELLED at me really really loud!!!  So now I'm napping."

"I enjoy playing with my Feeders!  But I've been feeling crabby the last few days.  I've been hissing at my stinky brother Knives and we fought several times last night & once this morning.  meh"

"Mom took this excellent portrait of me.  She's thinking about putting up a section in our store with pictures of us on things.
So, what do you think??  Would you be interested?  Right now
mom is barely getting enough to pay for the store so we're
wanting to know what people would like to see."

"Hey!  That's my spot!!  What are you doing up there??"

Star says, "I'm so excited!!  Admiral bought one of our calendars
to put up so she can see me all the time!  I feel so honored."

Purrs & Prayers & Calendars...

"We got a phone call from mom's friend Julie on New Year's Day.  She told us that baby Scarlett (her grandbaby, the daughter of mom's godson & his wife) had gone to the pediatric ER.  Scarlett is still in the PICU where they are monitoring her for seizures.  They said she has a virus but haven't said anything else yet.  Scarlett is six months old and they have put her on topomax and some other medication.  Purrs & prayers would be appreciated."

"We are working on that & dad's left hand.  Daddy had
surgery for carpel tunnel syndrome on December 17th."

"We are also purring & napping for my sweet Admiral (she's
doing better).  So, of course, I need lots and lots of treats to
keep my strength up.  No Thomas, you can't have my treats!!"

"Mom got this calendar from our shop.  Corwyn & Jennifer got the other calendar and went through it counting to see how many pictures there were of Zaphoid & Mister Kitten.  Stuff will be on sale a little longer since mom isn't up to repricing it yet!"

Twas the Second Day of Christmas...

"We got mom a new camera for Christmas!!"

"We got two new fun toys in our stocking, greenies,
four cans of gooshy food, AND our Feeders bought
us a new toy with a scratchy thing in the middle
and a baaaaall!!  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!"

"Actually the toy with the feathers is mine!
Mine, mine, mine, mine, MINE!!
muahahahahahahahaha!!
I have already carried it down the hall several times.
MY TOY!!"

"We're making mom rest up from going to her
family's Christmas & daddy's family's Christmas!
They were gone ALL day!!  We starveded to death!!"

"We had a white Christmas!!  Mom says that there
hasn't been a white Christmas around here since 1993!!
That was the same year that Jennifer was born!"

"We were going to wish you Merry Christmas but..."

"PS Jennifer & Corwyn have gone to their dad's house until
January 2nd.  They both got our calendar!  Mom got the other one.
Everycat... ummm... we mean everyfeeder... got something from our store!"

It's A SALE! It's A SALE!!

"See??  We made mom take medicine after she got home from
the doctor's office (and dad got new meds from Krogers) and
when she felt better we said she could finish up getting
the stuff in the shop all put on SALE!!  MEOWSER!!"

"While mom & dad were out the calendars mom had ordered for herself & her kittens arrived.  I made sure the kittens didn't look.  Fortunately they didn't even try so I didn't even have to move."

"Guess who is getting which one!"

Where Have We Been and What's That White Stuff??

"So mom has been having a migraine since she had her EEG on the 6th.  The kitten Feeders had a concert on the 9th after a doctor appointment in the morning.  Both of mom's tests were okay.  The kitten Feeders sounded very good and mom cried because it was Jennifer's last and Corwyn's first Winter Concert at the High School.  That exhausted mom for the whole weekend.  So we sat on her."

"Emo kitty is still emo.  Dad's car died and the dryer died too."

"I've been stressed trying to decide what color to be for Christmas.  Last night I was a Lavender point but this morning I was back
to a Blue point.  Every time I do this, daddy freaks out.
He wants to know how I do it!!"

"Okay.  Can we figure out if mom has ordered Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde calendars for you & Corwyn for Christmas??"

"Because you both need one."

"This is the one mom wants."

"PS mom's kittens are out of school because it snowed.  We don't like snow because our paws get wet when we go out.  Zaphy and Thomas are the only ones who still go out anyway.  Thomas does it because he can.  Zaphy does it because he prefers the outdoor litter box."

Okay, who broke the camera??

::sigh::  Can we start this week over please??  Speeding ticket, right side turn light disappeared (valet parked & suddenly gone, I'm suspicious), tire came off of the rim as I was leaving to turn in SSD appeal, got new lithium batteries for camera & took pictures & when I turned it back on it said "low battery" & stopped working, today my husband's car battery was deader than a doorknob.  I got a new one, put it in and it didn't do more than make the lights work.  Meanwhile, my friend Kat from Memphis called to tell me that she was following the ambulance taking her mother (who has COPD) to the hospital with pneumonia.  I would like a do-over please.

"So, Brain, how do we make a do-over for mom??"
"Be quiet Pinky, I'm thinking."

"I know I wasn't around last night mom, but I'll come see you
later to make you feel better.  No, really!!  Especially now
that the flashy thing is... ummm... ahhhhh... gotta go!"

"Yessssssss, we shall make mothur sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep."

"Hey!  At least she got that box from the Angel Food Ministries place that Auntie Kat paid for!!  Fooooood!  Fooood is goooooood!!"

"We're not sure which ones we're getting for our pet children."

Spoons? Mom Has No Spoons But I'm Getting Furs!!

"These are the two Calendar types mom did.  One has pictures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde & one has mom's drawings based on us."

"See!  See!!  We have icky food and the fountain pump isn't working so we have to drink from a regular bowl now and it's never ever ever ever full!!  No, really!!"

"The only Good Thing&tm; is that my furs are growing back!!  Harrumph!!  Which is good because I've had to sleep with mom every night, not that she's getting to sleep before two or later because the season is turning cold.  ::sigh::"

Where Are My Serfs??

"I'll help clean the sink but that's it mom!"

"I can't help mom, I'm still recovering."

"I can lay on the bed while you try to make it!"

"I'm quite competent at supervising washing the floor.
But I'm afraid I'm not very good with a mob."

Hmmmm, I guess I can't get the cats to help with the housework.

Boy, Did I Fubar That One!!

I was planning to move the Breast Cancer Awareness into it's own section.  ::head:laptop::  I got it moved and then accidentally erased it.  gah!  This means that I have to put it back in bit by bit.  Ergo, I'll be working on that first.  However, they finally got the 2011 calendars up!!  blah.

Star seems to be doing better.  There aren't large bumps anymore.  OTOH I haven't seen any pus come out.  On one hand, he seems to be feeling better, he's been taking his antibiotics.  On the other hand, I'm not sure if he needs to see the vet again, especially since we can't afford it (BTW thanks again to everyone who contributed!!  Your contributions got us to within ~$1 of Star's bill!!).  He's still sleeping a lot.  If I could find a working camera I'd take some new pictures, but of course, it's gone missing!!  What a week!!  I've had one teacher for each kid get in touch with me about things they need to do to keep from getting Fs for the first six weeks.  And, once again, it's not that they haven't done the work, they just haven't turned it in.  Gah!!  I need a vacation!  At any rate, today I'll leave you with one of my favorite Breast Cancer Awareness graphics, which will probably be going up in the store some time today.

Which reminds me, I should make some of the long bumper stickers.  Oh!  Did you know that the rectangular & oval stickers are made out of the same material as the bumper stickers??  I think that is soooo cool.

Who, Me?! It Was Him, Mommy!! No, Really!!!

On the way home from a doctor's appointment yesterday I tried to convince my children to help look for my 'life'.  My 17 year old daughter, who was curled up sleeping in the front seat (being 17, no fool, and having been sick all last week), muttered, "Yeah, right, I'm going back to sleep now."  My 14 year old son, the money bags of the family (no, really!, he saved up Christmas and birthday money year before last so he had nearly $150 to spend at an event... before that he saved enough to get a 'griffin' puppet at the local Ren Faire), said he wasn't interested in the $5.00 reward I offered.

Then he slyly said, "Hey!  What about giving me one of those calendars you made up once the new year starts?"  (they haven't gone up in the shop because CafePress hasn't switched to 2011 yet)  I thought about it and said, "We-ell, maybe.  It depends on how much they cost."  We dickered.  We finally came down to something from the shop, possibly even something made just for him with 'his cat' (Mister Kitten) on it, saying "Protected by Vicious Attack Cat: Mister Kitten".  When we got home, I reminded him about it, he looked for about five minutes and Voila! my life was in his hands.  "Where did you find it?" I asked.  He nonchalantly answered, "Oh, it was on your blue trunk on the corner."  My eyes narrowed.  "Do you mean the blue trunk under my bed where I looked at least three times already??"  He shrugged his shoulders, "I guess so.  I think Zaphy did it."  Riiiiiight.

"What?!  I didn't do anything!!  No, mom, really!!!  I's innocent!!"

"I wasn't there!  Cross my paws!!"

Busy Saturday... well, for Mom anyway...

Sorta, right now Mister Kitten is proving, once again, that he can sleep with his eyes open.  I'd take his picture but I'm busy finishing this up, watching "Fifth Element" on TV, and then I'm going to rest.  So I leave you with the cover of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde Calendar 2011 which will go up later and how I'm feeling at this point (although the antibiotics are helping!!).

"That's right, mom's made 12 months of pictures of US!!  Whoot!!  We're so excited we've been napping ALL DAY!!"

"Heh, we're going to make mom go to bed early!!"

Poor Mommy!! We Should Get Her Chocolate!

"Well, I've been busy, busy, busy allllllll day making sure mom rested along with the kids because they're all sick.  Jen has been sick with something since Monday that made her voice squeek like a mouse!  (I was nice though and didn't try to catch her.)  But mom and Corwyn went to the doc-in-the-box today and were told that they have sinus infections.  So mom went to get them some medicine.  She has been making everyone drink a lot and we've been making them all rest."

"This makes mommy sad because she was looking forward to seeing daddy play with one of his bands tonight!!  But the venue is a cigar bar and it would not be good for her.  We are sad when mom is sad.  We will purr and purr and purr until she's feeling better."

"Oh noes!  Mom forgot one of her meds!!
(she has two designs for this)"

"PS mom has started working on a calendar of us for 2011!!!  She'll have one with her drawings and one that's pictures of the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde, like this one..."
