Three Cats on the Bed!

"She's letting us on the bed! I mean like seriously. 
My Young Mommy is sitting here on Mommy's
bed next to me cause Nova let me on the bed!
And Star's on the bed too!"

"Finally! I can sleep with my Mom once again!
Nova is laying there staring at me and no hissing!
Progress has been made! And Zaphoid's on the bed as well!"

 

"What are you stinky boys talking about? The only reason I'm
letting you on My Bed is because Mom gives me treats if I don't
hiss or growl at you!  And that Yellow Cat is still the most stinky!
He's not allowed up here!"

"She let me up on the bed to get my treats but I'm not taking

any chances! I'm staying up in Zaphy's human's room!

She doesn't come up there!"

So things are progressing faster than Mom expected.(Me too!)

Two Purrs Forward, One Hiss Back

 "Mom?  When will my belly furs grow back in???  Me-oooom?!"

 "Is it live?"

"Or is it Memorex?"

 "We've been spending a lot of time here since Nova came home.

She hissed a lot at us yesterday.  Why you'd think we'd been in

the bathroom eating her kitten food!!  Or using her kitty litter!!  Ummm... why no... it couldn't have been us!"

 "Mom!  Me-om!!  Nova hissed at me again!!  Oh mom!!!"

"Why yes actually.  We've got to work some more on learning to

live together.  And it was not Da Boys who stole The Princess' toys.  Da Boys know absolutely nothing about it!!  No, really!!"

Quick Update!

 "You can barely see Nova but for the last two nights mom

has woken up so see us both laying on the bed beside her.

Of course, as soon as she does we have to hiss & growl

so she doesn't know we are beginning to like each other!!"

 "Yesterday I got a package from Noodle & Olive!!

What??  Oh.  Thanks Noodle & Olive!!"

 "They sent me TOYS!  And TREATS!!  And a water fountain

they didn't use.  Mom?  What's a water fountain?"

 "Oooooh!  Okay.  You might want to set that on

something to make it higher off the floor mom."

"Mom had two doctor's appointments yesterday which is why she didn't let us onto the 'puter to write.  Bad mommy!!  No biscuit!!"

Less Hissing... More Playing...

 "I'm settling in even more!  I'm only really

hissing at that stupid ole' yellow brother."

 "She started it!!  But mom gives me a treat when I don't hiss and she puts me out when I chase her down.  So I'm behaving a LOT better!!"

 "She's not hissing at me at all now.  Yay!!

Now if she'll just let me back on the bed!"

 "I've never growled at her at all and now she's

stopped hissing at me.  She is, however, sitting

in the window ledge so I can't lay down in it!!"

 "My dobbleganger likes my toy as much as I do.

We looked at each other several times yesterday and

today and we didn't even growl at each other at all!!"

"Mommy wore a t-shirt with this on it when she came to pick me up!"

Day Two or Mom, Can We Get Rid of That Stinky Yellow Cat?

 "I really like my new toy!!  But I don't like that stinky yellow boy!  He's hissed and chased me three times!!  The other boys haven't even growled at me even though I tell them that this is my bed now!  Although I might learn to share it later. "

 "Mommy put a special food & water bowl just for me in the master bath but I found out where the stinky boys eat!!  Ha ha ha!!"

 "This is where my mom & dad take their baths.  I think I'll try it too."

 "Oh look!  Mom put down my very own little litter box!

It has wheat litter just like my stinky new brothers!"

"My Feeders wouldn't let me get on the kitchen table!!  Unfair!!

And when dad was cutting up meat for his infamous chili he

wouldn't even give me any!!  He is soooo mean!  I may punish

him by not sleeping at his feet tonight.  I wonder why mom

keeps saying I'm just like Star when he was my age?"

foster mom telling her where you'll meet her!"

 "I'll wait here until you get back and

put in pictures of our new sister!!"

 "Mister Kitten broke Star's Christmas toy so this is

the only one we have left but we'll share it with her!!"

 "Could you please hurry up mom?!

We want to see the newest member of the Horde!!"

Okay, new collar - check!

New tag... need to find engraver & steel tags.

Towel everyone has laid on - check!  Leash - check!

Metal pan for kitty litter - check!

Depending on how everyone reacts she'll either sleep in our room or Corwyn's room since Jennifer didn't get hers clean - check!

Now, we need to make Valerian tea.  I realized that I neglected to mention Valerian.  Some cats don't care for catnip but I have yet to meet a cat who doesn't like Valerian.  In fact, there is some speculation that Valerian is what was used by the Pied Piper of Hamlin since rats react the same way.  So we will be using Valerian tea to 'scent' all the cats.  Valerian also acts more like a tranquilizer rather than a 'cat crazies' like catnip does in so many cats so it is much more affective in situations like these.  HOWEVER, please do not use it internally without consulting your VET!!  We'll make another post today after Sparkles is home and we have pictures, pictures, pictures!!!  Once she has settled in her name may well change.

 "I was going to let her play with my Christmas

toy but Mister Kitten broked it!!"

 "This is how I will groom her.  It is very 

important to get the head and ears kept clean!!"

 "Is she here yet??  Tomorrow?  Okay.  What's that??  Noodle & Olive are sending us their old water fountain!  They never drank out of it but just used it for meditation.  We had a Catit® fountain but the pump died and mom can't find the old pump to be able to replace it.

 "I wonder if she likes playing?  MOM!  We're gonna need more toys!!"

 "And don't forget to get another litterbox... oh, and get a new water fountain too!  What green papers??  We don't need no stinking green papers!!  Ooookay, just make sure you get her GREENIES!!!

"We're all taking turns lounging on the towel mom slept with

last night so Sparkles will know what we smell like when

mom & dad go to pick her up on Saturday!!  We can't wait!!

We've been talking about it ever since mom gave us the news!!!"

to pick her up on Saturday!"

for her food but you need to fix our fountain!"

 "I think I'll nap until my 'twin' Sparkles

gets here to her new Forever Home!"

"Everycat & Feeder at our house is sooooo excited!!

We can hardly wait for Saturday!!"

 "Mom's kittens are still out of school and will be tomorrow too!
