Four Months With Audrey

 "This is me when I was a baby and lived at Chrystal's house.  She was my foster mommy and has a private rescue for cats & woofies.  She's going on vacation tomorrow  but keep an eye out on her blog!  Your house might make the purrfect Forever Home for one of her rescues!"

 "This is me looking out the window while driving to my new

Forever Home!!  I'm licking my lips because mom said I'd get

greenies when we got home!  I am a very very good car rider.

Everyone was very impressed, which is as it should be!!

Everycat knows that black cats are the best!"

 "Playing with hair bands is my most favorite game!  I don't

chew on them.  I carry them all over the house and try to get

the Feeders to play with me.  I like to skitter scat them most in mom's bathroom though.  There is a scale where I can hide them

(and move around to get them back!) and a stool where I chase them around the legs.  I like to steal hair bands off of dad's nightstand."

(PS Everycat needs to be watched to make sure they play

safely with hair bands!  Swallowing them is a Bad Thing!)

"Next month I will be one year old!!  I'm as long as my twin

brother of another mother Star, but I am more petite.

Which is understandable since I am a Princess."

"I love the Feeders in my house and I get along with everycat

but Knives, my archnemesis.  We're getting better though.  We still chase each other off of places and I still hiss at him but he's started trying to touch noses with me & stuff.  ICK!  Knives cooties!!"

Toys, Toys, Toys and a Water Fountain!

 "Wheeeeee!  This is smaller then we thought it would

be so it's easy for us to turn it upside but it's still fun!"

"Audrey is trying to get the ball and I'm checking out the

yellow ball on the spring.  We're not sure why the yellow

string things are there.  Mousies don't have fur like that!!"

 "Mom is unpacking the other two boxes...

fountain, check; new food bowl, check; jingle balls, check;

two led balls, check; new harness for Audrey, check!!"

 "This is our pretty new food bowl.  It's taller than the two

small ones but the bowls are the same size.  We have a set

that is the same height but has big bowls.  We like this better.  Especially those who are getting older.  heh heh heh"

 "This is the brand new fountain!  It is made by pioneer pet.

It bubbles up so it's louder than the other fountain (but

about the same as our older Petit fountain).  We like the way

it looks and bubbling is really nice for cats who like drinking

from streams and heavy flow taps.  Zaphy drinks more from

fountains like this which is good because he's older."

 "This is the Petmate fountain that Noodle & Olive didn't use which they sent to us!  It isn't very loud at all.  The water flows down from the hole you see just below where it says Petmate.  It's a trickle so cats who like to drink from little streams of water would like it as well as cats who don't like loud noises.  Mom got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde their Petit fountain (which doesn't work because of the pump dying) because fountains are healthier, especially for older cats.  Flowing water encourages cats to drink more water which helps prevent kidney & bladder trouble.  At first mom put our fountain on the other side of the bookcase from our food.  Once we got used to the noise she put it closer.  We love fountains!!"

"Mom hit Petco on the way home from a doctor's visit last week.

She got Max cat food for us to try.  We like it but of course

what kind of cat food we get depends on the cost.  Mom won't

get 'store' brand food from the grocery though because she

knows that it costs more in the end.  We eat more of that

stuff (and it makes our litter box really really really stinky!!)."

Mom!! What Took You So Long?!... or I'M HOME!!

 "Hi!!  This is my foster mom delivering me, Sparkles,

to my Forever Family!!  I'm soooo excited!"

 "Mmmmmmm, my new mom's girl kitten

knows how to scritch properly!"

 "Wow!  Look how far we're going, but I am getting a bit hungry."

 "Daddy says I'm trouble and I'll have to get a job.

For some reason, I don't believe him."

 "Look!  Look!  Mom's boy kitten has food for me!!  I'm starving!!"

 "Waitaminute!!  This doesn't look like my old place!!

Oh my!!  This IS a Forever Home!!"

 "None of Da Boys hissed at me at all,

but of course I have to show them who's boss!!"

 "She'll let me be on the bed for a minute and in the room if I'm very very very quiet.  Oh, why did it take mom so long to post??  Because she had to find the transfer cable for the camera (which Someone Hid!) and help Jennifer & Corwyn & Corwyn's friend get ready for the Choir's Winter Formal."

 "Mom stopped on the way home to pick up yummy Greenies and there was a toy on sale for 99¢ so she got it for me!"

"Star looks Just Like ME!!  Okay, so he's a little bigger and

he has more white on him but still!!  I've decided that I kinda

like him.  As long as he doesn't get too close or stay around

too long or get too near my new mommy or anything like that.

Oh!  Oh!  And mom & dad & the Feeder kittens talked and talked

on the way home and consulted with me and we think that my

Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde name will be.....

Shhhhhhhhh! We's Trying to Get Mom to Sleep

"Dad has gone to Music in the Mountains in AK.  Mom would have gone but we sat on her.  I mean really.  She's not only had a bad  week but who on earth would feed us and water us and and and..."

He's right.  I don't even know what day it is.  Which would explain why I missed the massage class... not that I was in any shape to stay anyway.  Flop Cat aka Mister Kitten sat on me for a loooooooong time.  I need sleep.  And kittens who will both do homework on time and turn it in.  ::sigh::

"I can keep an eye on 'em mom!!"

"I'll give them the lecture mom!"

"And I'll help lay on you and make sure you don't get up!!"

"Us??  Ummmm... uhhhh... noooo... not us!!"

Is It Friday Yet??

Last night there was a ninja cat in my bathroom.  No, really!!  A black cat on a black bathroom rug can not be see by the light of a nightlight.  He can, however be felt by the feet of someone used to stumbling upon cats in the night.  This was a good thing last night.  He also slept with me for a wee bit.  This morning Timmy was in the well again.  ::shakes head::  Zaphy and Thomas kept telling us about it.  Thomas was not inclined to let me know what he wanted so I finally escorted, ahem, him outside.  Odd, the moment I did he stopped complaining and perked up.  ::rolls eyes::

As for Zaphy, he wanted morning treats.  Well, and a nice place for a nap.  He kept nudge at the drapes on the window behind our bed.  He's never really been able to explore it before with the old waterbed frame.  But now we're using the pegged bed frame that my husband made for us to use in our medieval period tent.  He nudged and nudged and I gave in and pulled up the blinds.  He looked out for a minute, looked over at his window ledge, looked at the vastly smaller one on this ledge (which he could tell he wouldn't fit on!!) and decided to curl up behind my back.

Now the girlchild & I just have to get ready to go drive this afternoon for about an hour to pick up the boychild after his graduation from chess camp!
