This is Not Trash the House Day!

It was the weather.  It must have been the weather.  I have a tendency to tell my children and my cats "Tu das nicht!" when they are doing something of which I disapprove and wish for them to stop.  I also count in German from one to ten to keep my temper.  When the cats are standing or sitting at the door I will open it and count in either English or German from one to three, occasionally putting in "Raus! Raus!  Raus!"  or "Hurry, hurry!" or "Last call for alcohol!" before the word "drei" or "three"

Yesterday?  Well, let's just say that I spoke a lot of German yesterday.  There was nose-bopping, scruff-holding, flea combing, etcetera.  And I did the same to the cats as well!  ::grin::  They all did have some moments of goodness.  And they did do better than on Tuesday!!

In other news, the pool is starting to turn blue (we use Pristine Blue rather than chlorine).  Soon we will have the pool to play & exercise in while Da Boys ramble around us on the deck.

"We didn't do it!  We swears!!"

"I have nothing to do with the state of the bed.  No, really!!"

"Shhhhhh!  Now, this is how you use
Ninja powers to get into the closet."

"is bumper snicker...
mom says it all the time... we're not sure why!"

Tag-teaming Daddy!!

My husband just got home from an SCA* meeting followed by the Cave Dwellers band practice he had.  When he began moving the top pillow he uncovered, ta-dah!, Star!!  So, of course, Star was moved.  Up came Thomas.  My husband glared at him.  "Oh no Thomas!!  You're not getting up here!"  You see, Thomas is notorious for getting in your space should you fail to be occupying it.  Naturally Dale scooped Thomas up to shift him out of the way as... you guessed it!!!  Star came sneaking back up onto his pillows.  Arrrrgggghhhh!

Dale picks up Star and puts him down at the end of my side of the bed as I watch, not saying a word.  Back and forth, back and forth.  Ending up with my husband's hands on his hips scowling down at them, "You two are tag-teaming me!!"  ::giggle::  Star & Thomas just looked up at him and then began shifting back towards the coveted pillow space again.  Alas & alack!!  It seems that dad was a wee bit too fast for them.  Thus my husband lays beside me, waiting for me to poke him and make him take his glasses off and actually go to sleep.

"Now if we both do the song and dance,
we'll look so awesomely cute that he
has to leave us alone!"

 "Poohbears!  Time for Plan B!"

"Ahem.  What happened is that dad fell asleep.
Then mom fell asleep too!"

"So we control the vertical.
We control the horizontal...
ummm,  what I mean is that we
finished up the post for today!  Star?
The screen is blurry!  Get me a pair of mom's glasses!"

"Mom & dad both need one of these...
but what to get them?  T-shirt?  Coffee mug?"

*In this case, SCA stands for the Society for Creative Anachronism.
