Comforter Conversation...

"Huh.  Mom got through putting in the new products in Winter Holidays & Breast Cancer Awareness before we could stop her. grrrrrrrr"

"Don't look at me!!  I was busy napping!!"

"You know, if you hadn't kept putting her legs to sleep by laying on them... !!  Maybe we should change your name to Mister Pumpkin."
"What's a Pumpkin??"

"Don't worry mom, I'll make sure you rest today, after all, you want to go hear Corwyn sing at MidTN Freshman Honor Choir tonight!!"

Where is the coffee??  Ooooooh coooooffffffeeeee!!

Treats in the Morning! Treats in the Evening! Treats in the Afternoon??

You always know when it is time to get up at our house because the members of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde come up to you one by one (or two by two, three by three, and rarely four by four!) to remind you that it is Time for Morning Treats!!  This necessitates mom getting out the treat bottle, since I put treats into an large, empty supplement jar that is fairly easy for me to open but is cat-proof (thus far).  Now there are certain rules for getting treats.

Rule #1 - You must sit politely to get your treat(s).
[generally Da Boys get 1-2 at any treat time]
"See?  I'm sitting all the way down mom!  No, really!"

Rule #2 - No pushing, shoving, or trying to take someone else's treat.  If you do, you have to go last.
Mister Kitten - "I didn't see anyone doing that!"
Zaphoid - "It wasn't me!!"

Rule  #3 - Thou shall not stare at the treat drawer in an effort to make mom give you treats in the middle of the day (even if this works half the time because you are soooOOOooo cute!).

"You are getting sleeeeeepy.  Very sleeeeeepy.
You want to give me treeeeeeeats!"
"Lookee!  We helped mom put up all of the 'This is my costume!'s and the first of the Trick or Treat section yesterday!!  Wheeeee!  Oh wait, there's a lot more to come!  Oh dear, and then Winter Holidays.  Hmmmm, we just might need a nap now.  Sorry mom!"

Oh For a New Camera!!!

I'm going to have to get a new one today if I can find one with flash that doesn't cost an arm & a leg.  Thomas was just in the cutest pose!!  All of the cats in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde (the Trouble Brothers - Thomas & Zaphy, Ninja Cat - Star, and the Baby - Mister Kitten (who will be three this summer)) have been posing for me... and me with neither camera working!!!  Arrrrrgh!!  This means I'm having to work with the pictures I already have.  ::head:desk::  At any rate, Thomas was posing very similar to this pose of Star, except with the quilt rather than a pillow...

Star: "Love the pillow.  Crash on the pillow.  Pillow is Mine!"

Sad to say, wiith my kids at their father's house for the weekend and my husband not getting up early, I was treated to "Timmy's in the well, mom!" from Thomas around 0700.  Now Da Boys know my tradition.  If "Timmy's in the well" early in the morning, you have to wait until I'm done with my morning routine.  Once I was done with that I asked Thomas & Mister Kitten to "show me" what they needed.  Off we went to the kitchen where, lo and behold!, their cat food bowls had food in them.  Evidently, my walking them to the bowls was sufficient unto the day so that they realized that indeed they were not starving to death and their ribs were not about to show any second now.  After Thomas and Mister Kitten were done eating and I was done making coffee (we grind our own beans), into the kitchen sauntered Star.  He also needed me to walk him to the food bowls.  Zaphy showed up just as Star was beginning to eat and evidently Star eating was his cue that he wasn't going to starve to death.

BTW  Star is being a lovey-dove today, purring and asking for pettings (and also trying----- to help with the blog!).  This Ninja Kitty used to be more aloof, it's 632+ amazing what eat-trays can do!!  ::weg::

Star: "Dad is almost always like this and sometimes mom is too.
This points to the large mug that I think we should get
Dad for Christmas or his next birthday."

All I Want is a Cup of Coffee...

I woke up late today.  I blame the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde.  No, really!!  They were all over my feet & legs so there was no way I could get up.  I just had to go back to sleep!  I mean, really, move all of Da Boys?  Ludicrous!  I finally got up and went to run two errands.  I needed to go get some new shirts for my husband (yay consignment sale!) and hit Krogers for a few things.  As he always does, Star came up to me to greet me.  I set the backs inside the door but he didn't go inside.  I think he realized that I was going to move the car around back (no place to park in front).  I came inside and unloaded the bags.

"We like to teach our humans how to sleep properly!"

Ooops!  I missed buying one of the things I'd put in my bags to get and then realized that I needed to get more milk as well.  Off I went back to the store.  Fortunately my Krogers is just around the corner!  I popped back in and got my two items.  Jiggity jiggity home again, home!  Oh look!  There is Star, waiting for me.  This time he went inside.  He evidently knew that I would have to go back out again!  I just wish now that I hadn't missed my morning cup of coffee!!

"I wonder how much coffee mom can fit into this bag??"

Router & Sale & Bouncing... Oh MY!

First of all, Star and I confirmed with our cable guy this morning (it was a guy who answered the phone ergo...) that the router was on the UPS truck.  Then we waited.  Normally the truck hits here mid-morning.  Nooooo truck.  But that was okay.  Star and I just kept going outside with a book every hour and a half and sitting for a bit watching the pot to see if it would boil.  ::sigh::  Nooooo truck.  My kids came home.  My daughter scared Mister Kitten and my son found him hiding under my bed.  Well, that's not entirely true since I have a waterbed.  He was just under the quilt hanging over the side... but still.  So I suggested that Corwyn tempt all of the cats to his room with TREATS! while my daughter did her homework.  Still noooooooo truck.

Finally my daughter had finished all but one project and went to her room to take a nap (hey!  it's tiring being a Junior!).  By this time it was 17:30 (that's 5:30 to Thomas who just tried to help again).  Riiiiiiiiiing.  YES!  The doorbell!!  Roooouuuuuuuttttttttteeeeeerrrrrrrr!!  Oh, and a package for Jennifer... who wouldn't wake up to open it.  But that was okay, Star and I went ahead and installed the router.  Whoot!!  And while we were doing that we noticed something... I actually sold something this month!  Hey!  $2.40!!  Okay, it's not much but it's something.  I needed that.  Not the $2.40 because I won't actually see it, it'll go towards the price of the site (about $6 a month) but just having made a sale.  I'd like to get to the point where I could do things like oh, say, get greenies for da boys, extras for the kids (yearbooks are up to $70!  eeep!), and such.

This is what they got, and one was sold last month too!
The women's dark t-shirt in violet!

Da boys have decided that tonight is Bouncy Night!!  First Star, after he discovered that I still wouldn't let him walk all over the laptop keyboard (and that there was no place to sit on top of it either), took off bouncing on top of any cat within pouncing distance.  Then Mister Kitten had to get in on the game because, well, anything Star can do Mister Kitten thinks he can do better... and then gets proven wrong, but that's another story!  But the shocking incident of the evening was when Thomas and Zaphoid joined in!!  Zaphy bounced right off the bed but Thomas did manage to maintain his dignity and restrained himself in time to plop back down and return to sleeping.

Seven!!

Not flies, nor giants, nor dwarfs.  Nay!  It's seven new graphics in the shop!  Two of them went into Occupational Cats; Touch My Caffeine... and Exhausted & Overworked!

Then I reopened Medical Expressions and revamped it.  I had already finished up 99% of the graphics for these when I was reading Doctor Grumpy in the House this morning.  Between blog & response I was inspired to draw just onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne more graphic for this section.  ::stares innocently at the ceiling::  Actually, it's all Thomas' fault.  No, really!!  If he or Star had helped me get to sleep last night, I might not have been in this kind of mood all day!  Howsoever, should you happen to go look, I hope you enjoy.  Regardless of your opinion, I'd love to hear it!!
