Fursday

"Ahhhhhhhh.  Why won't Audrey do this with me??"

"Not the ear!  Not the ear!!"

"I still want a window seat in the kitchen."

"Mom put catnip in the sooooooooooock."

"Well, actually we don't know yet.  Here's the thing.  As many of you know, our baby sister Audrey came to use from Miss Chrystal at DAILY DOSE OF DOGS (AKA CATS WITH YOUR COFFEE).
But Chrystal has lost her computer!!
Here's what KC at Cat Blogosphere had to report...

Chrystal’s computer was dying and she emailed me and asked iffen I could post a message on tha CB. That’s tha last I heared from hers.
She said they’d try to figure out how to get another one.
I’s got two computers here, but they’s already going to new homes in the CB.

"This is Not Good!!  A lot of Cats & Woofies depend on Chrystal to find them Forever Homes!!  Please go check with KC on Cat Blogosphere if you happen to have a computer for Chrystal!!
She does such fantastic work."

PS Audrey has helped us with mom a lot since she became a part of the Horde.  Every morning she dances and purrs and loves on mommy so that mom always starts the day with a smile.  We can highly recommend Forever Friends that Chrystal has rescued.  (No Audrey! You can not have another twin brother!)  Check out Handsome!!

Wait? Almost Two Weeks Already?!

"Ha!  I have one of my favorite hair band toys!"

"I chase it all over the bathroom and house.  Mom would like to know how I move the scales."

"I love this toy!!  And I'm enjoying my Forever Home!!  (except that stinky yellow cat)"

"My favorite game with it is to pass it around the legs of the stool over and over and over and..."

"I am winning over all of my brothers.  Well, except that stinky ole' yellow cat.  I touch noses with Zaphy and of course my twin of another mother Star!!  I even touch noses with Thomas now!  But I growl immediately at Knives because he chases and growls and snaps at me too much.  UNFAIR!  Just because I've taken over mommy & the window seat & & &... now to make mom get me a new leash..."

Thomas says...

"Hey!!  Mom's been doing too much so I'm going to lay on her wrist as much as I can today so she can't type.  Muahahahahahahahaha!  Take that mom!!"

"I am the Master of Evile Plans"
PS We haven't heard from Charlotte's mom today
but we'll post when we hear from her again.

And It's Star for the Pin!

Last night Star and Mister Kitten were playing wrestling.  One would think that Mister Kitten would come out on top since he's the larger of the two.  However Star is the master wrestler!  It was Star for the pin three out of three.  Once on the bed.  Once on the bedroom floor.  And once in the hall.  Then it was time to play chase each other up and down the hall!!

Thomas and Zaphoid, being Senior Cats, disdain these types of antics.  They would rather hang out on the bed, on the cat tree, or roll on the driveway.  In fact, they are the masters of rolling on the driveway.  Thomas, being the eldest cat of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde, takes the field with rolling on the driveway.  Almost any time you come upon him when walking on the driveway he will stop walking and give you one of his cute rolls.  He is an expert is making you go "awwwwwww!"  I think Zaphoid is much more concerned with just scratching his back.

Now Star has the habit of greeting you when you pull into the driveway.  In fact, he gets quite upset if he doesn't manage to greet you.  You must stop and give him pettings, telling him what a beautiful boy he is as well.  The odd thing is, that lately he has been mugging everyone for pettings.  Using his Ninja Skills, he captures you and forces you with incredible cuteness until you love on him.  Mister Kitten, on the other hand, has taken up the role of Aloof Cat for the nonce.  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde love to keep us jumping!!

Evile Plan... or at least one of them

It's my goal to get the cats to the point where I can pull out the treat box and rather than being mugged by four sleek Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitties (the smallest of which weighs 11 pounds) that I'll be able to hand out treats one at a time.  muahahahahahahahahahaha!  My plan is coming together.  Last night there was only minimal shoving (most of it by Thomas) even when Zaphoid came in waaaaay late to the game.  ::wipes a tear from eye::  I'm so proud of my boys.

Food... filling the Big Bowl™ followed by delivering the brown bag

First, my husband brought in the bag of cat food from the car.  None of the cats were around so it didn't get torn open, which is what normally happens.  First, I filled the Emergency Cat Food Container™.  This is a small plastic container with a tight lid that holds about two days worth of food (We buy Iams because it lasts long for us than the other brands... well Science Diet is good too but I digress).  We do this because we know that once the emergency food is opened and poured into the Big Bowl™, it is time to buy more cat food.

After that was done, I filled all of the bowls with the last of the cat food in the Big Bowl™.  Trust me, there's a reason for this.  This leaves the Big Bowl™ empty.  heh heh heh.  Then I fill up the Big Bowl™  with the fresh food.  I make a crater in the center of the food, pour the old cat food into it, and then stir it all up with the scoop.  muahahahahahahahahahaha!  Because when you do that, they think that all of the food coming out of the Big Bowl™ is fresh.  Fresh is goooooooood.

Then I got started on some bags for church.  I was too exhausted to make Eucharist, but today was the day for us to turn in our food bags so I wanted to make sure I got by there to drop off our bag of food.  I also had a bag of colored pencils and some arts & crafts things which might help for the Craft fair next week (Gee!  I'd better get busy!) and then go to the littles classes.  I also passed out a bunch of my cards.  I really really really really need to get some sales  from the shop.  ::sigh::  But the cool thing was that when I went to see our Priest (he was the last person I spoke to) he felt it was a fortuitous meeting.  It seems that St. Paul's Episcopal in Murfreesboro, TN is working on it's own CafePress Shop! (yes, I'll be nice and let you know when it's up and running!)  At any rate, I'm exhausted again so I'd better go lay down before Star comes up and forces me to go to bed!!  Now I just have to figure out what to read!

Dead Artist Walking...

no, make that falling into my bed.  We're having our first cold rain of the season outside.  Which explains why the ankle I double dislocated two years ago has started talking to my knees.  It rather makes me wonder what kind of conversation my body parts have when I'm asleep.  "Hey!  Hey!  Right Shoulder!"  "What is it, Left Knee?" "I was thinking... how about tomorrow we do some kind of alternating stabbing pain thing?" and then the right ankle pipes up, "Oooooh!  I want in on that action!" and my wrists go, "Us too! Us too!"  I can just imagine my wrists squealing like those cute little animae characters.

For some reason, every time I've opened the front door tonight, Zaphoid has been there going, "OMG!!!  You've got to let me INnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!  I'm dyingggggggg out here!!!!"  I dutifully let him in and say as he dashes off into the kitchen in search of sustenance to sooth his soul, "You know, you could have just used the same cat flap you used to get out of the house."  For some reason, he never wants to talk about that.  Go figure.

Ah well.  My son is back from his father's house.  My daughter had a slight ketchup crisis which was solved by a fast run to the grocery around the corner.  No, I take that back.  I drove the van, she ran in and out, also getting sorely needed milk & creamer.  In the meantime, the male teenager left at the house, having been asked by his sister... then told by his sister... then told by me... then reminded by me...

totally ignored the oven timer going off in the same room where he was engrossed watching tv (yes, I have one in the kitchen, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!  but I have my reasons), and had yea, verily, yea, NOT taken out the fishsticks which caused the ketchup crisis in the first place.  ::head:desk::

I'm going to bed now.  No, really.  I'm going to gather in the cats and lay down with a good book & the tv (I multitask... I also watch tv & do hand-sewing), put my legs up, splint my wrists (note the 'p'!  no cutting allowed on this blog!  ::wry grin::), and kick back until tomorrow.  The kids are starting fall break... muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
