300th POST!!! Whoot!!

"Wow!!  We're so excited!!  This is our 300th post!!  It's so hard that I'm just going to collapse and take a nap."

"And it's still kinda hot so hanging out here in the sink
helps make me feel better."

"I'll be keeping on the look-out for more good pictures as well as helping mom with graphics in the store!"

"And, of course, as the ComputerKitty I shall be supervising everycat to make sure things are running smoothly!"

"Because we know that everycat is always good... we have some deeeeeelicious treats for everycat!!  We're out of greenies but we highly recommend these.  They are very nummy substitutes!  We've got something around here for the Feeders as well but we're kinda busy eating these nummy nummy treats!!"

"And we want everycat and Feeder to have a great time!!"

PS!  The Paw's Relation! has gotten their award graphic...
we still need to make graphics for...
First Prize - Sweet Praline!
Second Prize - Samantha & Clementine!
Third place - Katnip Lounge!
Harry & Fiona! who tied for Fourth Place with The Paw's Relation!
Don't forget that everycat who participated
gets to use the participation graphic!

PPS Today is the purrday of Hexapuma, who is a gorgeous Maine Coon fed by two of my most favorite SF/F writers Sharon Lee & Steve Miller.  They write the Liaden® series which I adore so much that I have two copies of each book to loan out.  Yes, they are that good!!  Sharon put up a post on her blog today with
pictures of this handsome young man.

Friday Sleeping Contest...

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Horde says, "Mom figured out what the problem was with the camera (or we think she did).  It was a bad cord.  Bad cord!  NoooOOOooo biscuit!  So we made her take a buncha pictures of us having a sleeping contest!  We would like to see all of your best sleeping poses as well!    Once you have put up your pictures, post it in the comments.  We'll put up all of the contestents in another post and let everycat look at them and vote on which one they think is the best!  The first three winners will get a
Super Special Graphic made by mom!!"

"See how cute I am?  I have my paw tucked under
the quilt while I lay down next to mom."

"I like to sleep with my head up.  Dad can't figure out how I do it!"

"Mister Kitten and I are the best Sleeping Cats!!
We told mom that we need to have two pics!!"

"See!  What did I say about my other picture?  ::grin::"

"I was hiding my eyes from everycat in this picture!"

"I learned how to do this from the young
mom & dad here at the house."

"We linked this to the page that goes to the
clothes section & the everything else section .
Now mom is nodding off so we're going to make her take a nap."

BTW if you love most excellent Science Fiction, I must reccomend that you read the Liaden series by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller.  Each book can stand alone but together?  Oh man.  There's a *reason* I've read each book (exept the two I've gotten recently) at least five times!!  These books rock!  And there is a contest wherein IF you haven't read (cross your heart) this series, you could win an electronic copy of an omnibus of the first three books.  Go here.  Go now.  You know you want to.  I'll wait.

Cold, it is.... Doctor Cats Remain... Vigilent!

I was replying to something just before starting this and Star gave me one of Those Looks.  Even though you see him, you could feel it... attacking your brain.  Suddenly!  He jumped up on the back of the computer chair (which is a Very Good Place Indeed) where I assumed he would do his usual thing of plumping the top just right;  settling himself in suchaway that he could play with pen or pencil, or mayhap take a stab at any moving hair, and God forfend that anyone should disturb his writer at her work!!

But no, no.  Alack and alas it was not to be.  Star managed to turn around on top of the edge of the table.  then he slithered politely and smelling faintly of vanilla* down my side and into my lap.  ::sigh::  Well, I'll have to go now, a post that should have take me about 5 minutes has taken

One collapse coming up.....

Officically Dead Now...

After waking up from my postprandial nap, and only because my dearest daughter had tried to wake me up three times, I jumped up... no, not really, I dragged myself out of bed, threw on clothes, grabbed the choir clothes which my boychild had forgotten to get for his Mass Choir performance tonight (three Middle schools including his) only to realize that while the dress shoes & shirt would fit; the pants were, indeed, the Wrong Size Entirely™. ::sigh:: The boy has hit puberty with a vengeance. When he measured himself against his father tonight before they left for the weekend he'd grown an obvious half inch from the last time they'd done so... two weeks ago.

Ergo, I raced off to KMart to find a pair that would work. Fortuitously, they had one pair left in his size that did not have belt loops.  You see, dress code at his school requires that pants with belt loops must have a belt.  This isn't too much of a hardship for girls since they can use scarves etc.  For boys... not so much.  For boys with sensory issues... ick patoohy!  I also found a very soft short sleeve white shirt, of course, they had not one single long sleeve shirt in his size.  ::sigh::  I did mention to his father that they might look for one at their local store this weekend.  ::crosses fingers that they might find one::

My dearest husband missed the concert because he went straight from work, wearing his Where the Wild Things Are t-shirt, to go have dinner with the red-headed step-child, and thence to the movie theater to see the new movie.  I hope that it's as good as the previews look.  This is The Book™ which he would read to her when she was little.  They've bought each other shirts with logos on them whenever they could find them (and I've helped, I admit it!).  Whenever they talk about it, their eyes light up.  I am so pleased that they are going to do this.  It's special moments like these that children remember forever... no matter what age they are.

As for me, I'm going to crack a bottle of wine, pull out some cheese and crackers, pull up a good book (another Liaden® book by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller... if you like Science Fiction and haven't read these, I highly recommend them!!!!), and hang out with the cats.  Star is supervising this as I speak but I'm sure that I can get him to come join me in the bedroom.  When I got cat food for the Big Bowl™... I got Greeeeeeennnnniiiiiiieeeeeeesssssss.... mmmmmmmm.  (okay, maybe I don't love them... but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde goes wild!!  ::grin::)

BTW I wore this in it's women's t-shirt format tonight so this particular graphic is especially fitting!  ::weg::
