Nothing To Do With Cats...

My ex has been told that he will be let go soon (contractor computer programmer w/state).  Good thoughts/prayers/etc for him finding another job ASAP (he probably won't get paid past the end of the month) would be greatly appreciated.  Since he's losing his job, I'm putting off a trip to the vets for flea stuff.  ::sigh::  Please boost the signal!!

  1. I'm not getting the correlation between your ex losing his job and putting off the trip to the vet...unless he pays child support and that's your vet money? Nevertheless, fingers crossed he finds another, better job soon!

  2. He pays $800 in child support every month and that's our food & extra stuff money. ::sigh::

  4. $800 is significant. Definitely fingers crossed he finds something soon. Any options to get the flea stuff and pay partially or pay later? I've never asked my vet if they offer anything like that with long-time, good clients, but maybe? (Oh, who am I kidding?) Is it the Advantage or Revolution you get? It's pretty pricey, I know. Good luck!

  5. Thanks, both of you! Kea, I've used both Advantage & Frontline. My vet will let me split up payments but I don't know when he'll get another job. Last time it took six months and we ended up having to use credit cards to get through due to copays for meds & doc visits. meh. This is bad timing given that I'm in the middle of PT.

  6. Prayers going up for you and your ex.

It seems that he must not be too bad a dude--he could have just stopped paying without letting you know what happened. Good on him for letting you know.

  7. ::nods:: He's always been good about paying support and seeing the kids.

  8. Prayers for you...and for your ex to find a job soon. Sounds like you and he have the kid's well being foremost and that's important. Will he qualify for unemployment?

  9. He's not sure about the unemployment. He said that he'd check closer to time. ::shrug::
